Ellis Hefner joins AGC of America Executive Board

During the 2008 AGC of America Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 10th-14th AGC of Kentucky’s own Ellis Hefner, (CFO, R.R. Dawson Bridge Company, Lexington, KY) was selected to serve on the AGC of America 2008-2009 Executive Board. The 25 member Executive Board has full authority to supervise and manage the Association which represents more than 32,000 leading firms in the industry - including general contractors, specialty contractors and service providers and suppliers.

The Executive Board is composed of the AGC Officers, the Occupational Division Chairs and Vice Chairs, the Specialty Contractors Council Chair, the Service & Supply Council Chair, the President of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), and nine (9) members selected by the President of AGC.
“We are very pleased that Kentucky will be so ably represented at the national level.” said Richard Vincent, AGC of Kentucky Executive Vice President.

Other highlights from the national event which drew nearly 3,500 contractors to Las Vegas included General Tommy Franks as the opening speaker along with a multitude of sessions on the industry’s most pressing issues including green building, building information modeling, infrastructure funding, economic forecasts, contract documents and much more.

    Ellis Hefner is a superb choice and will ably represent Kentucky. His blend of professionalism and intelligence will serve AGC well. Congratulations, Ellis!
